Alan Douglas Olson has over 38 years of experience in natural resource management and leadership roles. He served as the Regional Planning Director for the Pacific Southwest Region of the USDA Forest Service from 2014 to 2024, where he led strategic planning, NEPA compliance, and environmental analysis. His career includes various high-level positions such as Acting Deputy Regional Forester and Ecosystem Management Director, overseeing wildfire resilience efforts, forest planning, and environmental restoration. Alan holds an MS in Natural Resources Management and has led numerous regional conservation initiatives throughout his career.
